On October 28 th 2006 equine photographer, Carol Maginn, graciously taught horse owners the “tricks of the trade” for capturing ad quality shots of Arabian horses and the secrets behind equine videography. The seminar was a huge success. Everyone who attended had a great time and was able to capture ad quality photos by the end of the day. This was the first time we have hosted this type of seminar and due to everyone’s overwhelming enthusiasm, we plan to host several more. Also, this spring we are planning a follow-up seminar for photo editing. Keep checking our website for upcoming events under news and information.

To make the experience more fun and exciting, we held a contest for best photograph of the day. We are happy to announce Helen Callaway received first place for her beautiful photo of LF Estrella Bonita (pictured below).

October of 2005, Lyday Farms hosted its first “Ranch Rodeo”. The rodeo was a big hit and consisted of an assortment of rodeo and non-rodeo events. Most of the participants (horses and riders) were from Arabian horse farms in the surrounding area. Below is a list of each event and participant at the 2005 Lyday Farms Ranch Rodeo.

With the addition of seven foals in 2005, Lyday Farms is uniquely positioned to help jump start the breeding programs of other farms with these world class broodmare and show prospects.

Several open houses at the farm, as well as our presence at the Egyptian Event in Lexington, Kentucky in June will give interested parties ample opportunity to see what we're so proud of during the comingspring and summer months.

Please contact Bryan Jeffries for information on upcoming farm events or to inquire about Lyday Farms' sale horses.
